My M.A. Major research paper focused on the identification of prototypical linguistic patterns within a specific language domain. By means of a thorough statistical analysis, I could determine the probabilistic weight of certain types of processes (verbs) and participants roles (subject and object) according to their function within that specific domain. Based on the analysis results, I designed computer-based pedagogical applications in order to help ESL (English as a Second Language) students use those patterns and produce correct clauses (sentences).
